I don't care much for the holidays. They are a pain in the ass and for some reason tend to make me depressed. Maybe it's because of all the overeating and drinking, or maybe being forced to spend time with my relatives? Presents are always a let down too. It's such a bummer to tear open a gaily wrapped gift and find one of Rachel Ray's 30 Minute cookbooks inside. Ugh!
And now on to some breaking news.
I took Jackie Waffles to the vet's office early this morning to get neutered. He is seven months now which the vet says is the best time to do it. Otherwise they start spraying pee everywhere, marking their territory.

I had my little girl spayed that early and she looked pitiful when I picked her up. They gave me drugs for her and she looked like a junkie for a few days. Hope Mr Waffles adjusts well to his new situation.

Jackie, my husband says it's not THAT bad.
Jackie, buddy! oh, well, has to be done. But I swear my fixed guy sprayed me the other day, the smell was UGH.
Ron- he's home and he's not even drugged. They do the surgery with lazers now. He seems a little sleepier than usual, but that's all.
Trouble- well, this is a family friendly blog! Besides, you couldn't really see his balls anyway because he's so fuzzy.
Fashion- ugh is right. That's what I'm hoping to avoid.
My male dogs have generally not noticed anything missing. My female dog was PISSED.
Sympathetic "ouch! ouch!" for Jackie.
Well...at least you gave him a 'gender neutral' name. He may meow in a higher octave though...and suddenly prefer watching the Lifetime channel...

Wendy- well, he's generally more of a food whore than a sex whore so I don't think he'll mind or even notice like you said.
XL- Jackie appreciates sympathy but prefers turkey. Or tuna. Or whatever is on your plate.
Sweet- good thing he's already in touch with his feminine side.
OMG! I don't care if he's OK. Drug him!!! I'm suffering sympathetic pain for him.
yeah, cat pee is REALLY a hard smell to get out of stuff.
And Jackie will be so much happier without that extra horniness.
