Stay Gold, Ponyboy

Photobucket

Check out this tree in my yard. Lovely, no?

Photobucket

Nature's first green is gold, / Her hardest hue to hold. / Her early leaf's a flower, / But only so an hour. / Then leaf subsides to leaf, / So Eden sank to grief. / So dawn goes down to day, / Nothing gold can stay.

I have a sudden urge to bleach my hair and rent The Outsiders.

I've always thought it odd - we love autumn colors - but really, the leaves are simply dying. Loving color that is death seems curious to me.

Besides I've been raking leaves for a week now and that gets really old, fast.

I just realized I'm actually the best poet in the world. Next to you of course.

Some day I will find out where you live and abduct you. Wait, did I say that out loud?

LOL!

Beautiful fall color. That's one thing the East definitely has over So Cal.

Very pretty colors and it all looks so relaxing, if you need me I'll be under the trees taking a nap.

I own the Outsiders on video. I will have that poem memorized until I die.
